Sup,
Yesterday's workout so far has been one of my favorites, challenging things mixed with fun workouts that let me know that I was feelin the results. It was Cardio Power and resistance. It was a shorter exercise but man did I feel it all day yesterday. I made sure to drink plenty of water and to not let my muscles get too tight. my calves are were my biggest feeling is coming from right now, when I walk around I can definitely feel the tautness of the muscles.
Todays workout was cardio recovery. It was ment to help give those muscles a break/ stretch from all of the INSANITY workouts. It may sound like a break from the workout but when your setting in a squat position for quite a while and your muscles are screaming, you might not be so sure that recovery is really what is going on. but the exercise was all about stretching those muscles and boy did it. I felt super relaxed after this exercise but as I am typing sweat is still dripping off of me. there were alot of yoga poses in this one, all about keeping your balance and working your core. So these saturdays will be my cardio recovery days, It feels good my calves are not tight and my body feels nice and loose.
This was day 4 for me, I am proud of myself doing the constant workout. I just know that its not that hard to do an exercise routine a day and I shouldn't have a problem with it, but I feel happy knowing I just need to stick with it 60 days for an improvement. I will probably continue after the 60 days, but it feels amazing to know that when this first 60 days are up I will be feeling better and will have more energy and stamina for things that I love.

Day 2!
Hello,
So i'm going to start by saying DAMN was I sore when I woke up this morning. I felt like a stiff brick, BUT I still felt good. I actually dreamed about working out last night.... they have the exercise "the Heismen"( football move) where you have to take steps in between and I totally dreamed about how to do it correctly. So thats a sign? right hahaha.
The second exercise day I was not sure what I was going to be going through. I did the Plyometric Cardi Circut video. which you did three different sets of workouts where you repeated them faster and faster as you went. KILLER! I did allright to start but as things got faster my legs and arms both were screaming at me. I made it through the video with a few stops to catch my breath, but I loved how I was constantly pushed to want to keep going with only 10 seconds left or only 20 seconds left. Amazing workout, I was sweating in the warm-up and by the time i was half way through the workout i was dripping. I wear glasses so sweat was in my vision most of the time. I think I will probably have to do something about that, but for now I will just deal with it, maybe I will start taking them off when I get to learning the moves!
I think my favorite of the 3 exercise groups were the basketball ones, The pushups and running and moving, really broguth me back to highschool when I would do that sort of stuff. It makes me feel good even though this is the 2nd day. Of course I havnt really noticed much but being completely sore, but I know that I can feel the change commin!
I plan on gettin my before pictures up before long.... I am pretty selfconcious about my pictures but It will be good for me to see exactly where I came from to where I will be at the end of the 60 days. I hope that I can gain some support to anyone who might stumble by this lonely page, but until then I will just keep on keepin on.

Out of Shape
Hello,
I have always been over weight, not really surprising because of my love for foods that are just not good for me haha. I use to be quite athletic in high school, I played both softball and basketball. I've never been a runner tho I have tried my hand at that as well. My real passion is books and art, which is why I am a commercial artist. But lately things have gotten to the point that I know I need to make some changes. There is nothing like stepping on a scale and reading that you weight almost 200 lbs to put things into perspective. I have always weight around 155 through most of my college years and now that things have settled and I have graduated and things have become less hectic in my life I have noticed a jump in my weight.
I have never been one to whine and cry about how much I weight or about how things dont fit. I am even one to joke about my own fat rolls, and abundant love handles. Knowing this I was raised in a family of people who were like minded and all a bit over weight. I think things started changing when my sister began college and started dropping the pounds because of her strict softball training. She had always been a little more over weight than me so the change to her diet and attitude was the first thing that made me want to get on a path to a better me. Also my brother who was always the little man, the chubby boy, grew up last summer... and when I mean up I mean in feet! He got TALL!!! Not to mention he turned into a string bean on us all. He took up weightlifting, track, baseball and cross country. He is the runner in the family, thats for sure, he has currently set his goals to run 10 miles a day this summer, so far he is up to 6. Now envy is a big part of the reason Im getting fit, but also because its a good time, it feels like a good time to get into shape.
Starting today June 1, I began the workout Insanity. And let me tell you, Its EXACTLY that. I haven't felt like passing out on the floor from a workout in a long time, Highschool even. The workout consists of different videos for different days, they are set up on a calendar for the ease of knowing what to do each day. Day 1 begins with a Fit Test, to check out your cardio and ability. You tally how many times you can do each exercise in 60 seconds... needless to say I am QUITE out of shape. I couldn't make it through any of the exercises all the way without stopping and even had to pause the video and rest a bit cause i thought I would puke. (graphic i know, but true). In the end I managed to finish the exercises and I think it was a good starting point for me, realistically, since I know that I have done basically no exercise.
Tomorrow I begin the next exercise, and I am hopeful that I will be able to at least get to learning the moves and get into it. Having a good time doing these is part of the work I know, and seeing that its a 60 day program, I am confident that by the end of the summer I will not only FEEL healthier I will BE healthier.
If you happen to stumble upon this blog and read into it, I hope it gives you the courage to start a new you just as I am dedicated to do. I will be posting daily my trials and successes. And if you are like minded, please leave me a comment, suggestions , or anything else
